Staples Center Staples Center is to home to the Clippers, Kings, Lakers, Avengers, and Sparks. It was built in 1999. Staples Center seats 18,964 people for Clippers games but over 20,000 people have attended Clipper games on several occasions. Staples Center also has around 160 luxury suites. The arena has a state-of-the-art scoreboard with eight screens, four are videoboards. Staples Center hosts over 200 events a year.
